The Russian government has drafted new regulations: e-cigarette e-liquids must provide ingredient information reports
This regulation clearly states that manufacturers or importers of non-tobacco products are obliged to provide a report containing information about their ingredients between the annual reporting date and March 31 of the following year. The information printed on the package shall not contain professional terms and descriptions, signs, symbols or other misleading identifications that directly or indirectly mislead consumers; at the same time, it is not allowed to use non-tobacco products to add addictive substances as ingredients: including nicotine salts, ammonium and ammonium, Ammonia, acetaldehyde, etc. In addition, it is also stipulated that the nicotine content in non-tobacco products shall not exceed 10 mg per piece.
If passed, the law would take effect on March 1, 2025, unless otherwise specified.
At the same time, the Russian State Duma is considering another bipartisan bill to completely ban the retail sale of nicotine and nicotine-free E-Cigarettes in Russia. In the description of the bill, the number of Russian teenage users of e-cigarettes has increased since 2011 to 2023. ten times.
