- Many hookah shops in Germany illegally sell E-Cigarettes
According to tagesschau News: The black market for e-cigarettes is growing rapidly. The German Electronic Cigarette Association (VDEH) conducted a survey on hookah shops, bars and kiosks. The survey results shocked the VDEH. About 75% of hookah shops sell illegal e-cigarettes, and Although the proportion of night markets and convenience stores is lower, it still reaches 20%.
The members of the VDEH are unequivocally opposed to the trade in illegal products and their sale to young people, and we see a serious lack of enforcement by the competent authorities, which is reinforcing the black market.
Many consumers do not realize that counterfeit e-cigarette liquids contain too much nicotine and have too large a capacity, which is harmful to the body.
Oliver Pollard said the legislature itself ensured that young people were able to smoke: "With poor regulation and too few fines, this is fueling the illegal market.
